Announcing [Title TBD], Mr.’s First Solo Museum Exhibition in Japan and First Domestic Solo Show in 11 Years!!

We are pleased to announce a solo exhibition by Mr., an artist represented by Kaikai Kiki Co., Ltd., to be held at the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum.
The exhibition is scheduled to run from Friday, April 24 to Sunday, June 21, 2026.

Mr. (Born 1969) is a contemporary artist who has developed a distinctive visual language by incorporating elements of Japanese subculture, such as anime, manga, video games, and otaku culture in his themes and motifs. Since his debut in 1996, Mr. has continued to exhibit his artworks both domestically and internationally, using a wide range of artistic expression, whilst primarily focussing on paintings. Rooted in Japan’s unique pop culture, Mr.’s artworks have been introduced overseas from an early stage and have gained significant international attention.

This exhibition marks Mr.’s first domestic solo exhibition in eleven years and his first solo exhibition in a Japanese museum.
