“Mr. Solo Exhibition: We’ll Meet Again” finally opened on April 24 (Fri).
The exhibition features 49 of the artist’s latest paintings, along with 4 new sculptural works. It also includes a modified first-generation Toyota Soarer (MZ11) transformed into a “yankii itasha” car, a new motorcycle piece, and the large-scale sculptural work “Transformation” which was previously shown only in New York and Seattle 14 years ago. The venue is filled with Mr.’s meticulous vision, with the white gallery walls completely covered in an overwhelming volume of works, creating a space unlike anything previously seen at the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum.
The exhibition runs until June 21. During the exhibition period, events such as workshops by Mr. are also scheduled.
